Famously sauna-fond Estonia has come up with likely a world first. In the town of Rakvere there was somewhat of a sauna-vehicle convention. While the trucks, vans, and tents converted into saunas were interesting the star of the show was the “SaunAudi”. This is a yellow Audi converted into a working sauna. According to the article in the Virumaa Journal the sauna the car had a previously been used in funeral services before being reborn as a mobile sauna. Called the SaunAudi, this includes a sound system and can fit around 5 people semi-comfortably. It even has it’s own Instagram page: SaunAudi.
The genesis of this moving sauna marvel has humble roots. A group of friends were having issues finding a mobile sauna for an event and simply decided it would be better to just build their own for only 200 euros. By all accounts it has a good sauna functionality with a wood burning stove heating rocks above it. The SaunAdi still functions as a car, although the lack of working seat belts make it illegal on public roads.
