Legendary Golfer Vijay Singh Uses Sauna to Stay Limber

“I spend four hours on the golf course and come back and do infrared sauna. You do that for 30-45 minutes and you feel like you’ve run a marathon. It’s really good for the body and recovery.” – Vijay Singh

Champion golfer Vijay Singh is fanatical about fitness.  He is, of course, the man who has won many championships after the ripe age of 50.  Who’s intense and unconventional workout routine recently went viral.  Keeping limber and in good shape mentally as well as physically is important to say competitive especially at an older age than your competitors.  This is why it comes as no surprise to us that Vijay is a huge fan and daily partaker of infrared saunas.

“I spend four hours on the golf course and come back and do infrared sauna. You do that for 30-45 minutes and you feel like you’ve run a marathon. It’s really good for the body and recovery. I’ve had it for about a year.”  Singh told Golfweek USA

Also Singh told the official PGA Tour website about the benefits he has found in the sauna to his quarantine fitness regime.  “That’s been a really big key for us.”

While Vijay Singh has the luxury of being one of the richest golfers and able to afford standard infrared saunas it should be noted that for most people portable infrared saunas are a practical and inexpensive replacement.
