David Beckham is a massive football/soccer superstar. Ask any American to name as many soccer players as they can and they will likely draw a blank after they name him. With that kind of success most athletes spend their money on some ludicrous luxuries. Mike Tyson bought Bengal Tigers with his money for instance. However Mr. Beckham bought something a little closer to our hearts here. He bought an amazing $17,000 Estonian personal sauna for his garden in rural England.
“Thank you to @iglucraft. I’m loving it with this cold weather right now,”- David Beckham (Instagram)
This igloo shaped sauna was produced by the aptly named Estonian company Iglucraft. Their focus is on making handcrafted sanuas using natural materials. This is certainly the project to put their name out to the mainstream.
So what do you get with a $17,000 sauna investment? Well certainly it looks pretty stylish on the outside but the inside is certainly equally impressive. The sauna features several rooms including a steam room, a relaxation room, and a washing room. The sauna is traditional since it is not hooked up to running water.
This move has apparently inspired his neighbor Gordan Ramsey to follow suit. Who knows? If this catches on maybe we can finally have a Saunas of the Rich and Famous TV show or Pimp My Steamroom on MTV.
